New Supply Store

Do you love chain? I have quite a few great selections of chain, at wonderful prices, listed in my fairly new supply store: Gotta Craft! http://gottacraft.etsy.com/

Most of the chain is vintage- but opened for the first time, so it is in 'like new' pristine condition!

The beaded chain above is made with 8mm, Cat's Eye beads, with 3mm Spacer beads and top quality golden brass chain links. I have similar chain in different color beads: black, green, tiger's eye and white.
The White, black and Tiger's Eye Chain, all have a stunning, twisted gold chain, and 8mm beads. I made these earrings with the tiger's eye chain:

I made two pair- one for me and one to sell at Tracey's Treasures: http://traceystreasures.etsy.com
All you have to do is look at this chain, for the inspiration to come flooding in.
I also have some completed chains with clasps available. Stop on by and see what you can find!
Also, be sure to check back periodically, as I will be adding some gorgeous new silver, brass and gold chain, soon- it's on its way to me now :)
Look forward to seeing you!

The story behind the look: I made this necklace for my granddaughter. It features a polymer clay rose with leaves, and the strap is made with light pink swarovski pearls and leaf green swarovski bicone crystals. I try to put her beauty and innocence into this special piece.

My 1st Family Video- Family Affair

I'd like to share with you all, my very 1st music slideshow video :) Well, the first one that was given real thought, and made on a movie maker time line *laugh*

I'm really happy with the way it turned out! It's under intuey on youtube- it's easy to find, as it's the only one I've posted (so far) *wink*

I'm the one in the pink shirt (in most pics), the older man is my hubby of 26 years, (in March), the young adults are my kids, Eddie and Star and my DIL & SIL- the babies are my grandchildren: Mikayla, Grace and Cole. I stuck two old baby photos of my son and daughter within- they're easily spotted.
The other woman around my age in there is my sister, who is also my best friend.

Just about all of the scenery shots take place in Helen, Georgia, which is where we all went for vacation last mother's day in 2007. The rest of the scenery shots are in Florida.

Enjoy and let me know what you think! (Turn on your speakers to listen to the great voice of Elton John singing, "The Circle of Life")

So Much Going On! I Now Have An Adorable Grandson!

Today's entry will be in blue to celebrate the birth of my beautiful, new grandson :)

I'd like to introduce you to Little Man, Cole. This is him at 2 days old :) 8 lbs. 11 oz. He wasn't playing around in Momma's belly- he was busy eating! lol

Isn't he a cutie? He looks like a little boxer.

I definitely think he's going to be a big boy growing up. Now I have a beautiful grandson to go with my two gorgeous granddaughters- which you have met in previous entries :)

Little sister has taken to her new little brother and just loves him to pieces. At 2 yo, she is busy being a little Momma *smile*

She always wants to know where little brother is and if he needs anything. Cole will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and yesterday while Momma was changing his diaper, Little Gracie just reached down before Momma knew what was happening, yanked his little umbilical cord right off! *laugh* My daughter, Star, called me freaking out! I told her it was about time for it to fall off anyway and since he didn't cry at all- it probably didn't bother him too much. That I'm sure he'll be fine as long as she keeps it clean. I also assured her it would not change the look of his belly button. heehee

Gracie said it was a boo-boo, so she was taking care of it. lol

I have more recent pics of Cole, but haven't loaded them into the computer yet. I'll probably do so tomorrow. This past week has been a blur, with so much going on. We had another little family emergency- but all is... okay, I guess- as far as it can be, anyway.

I'll tell you one thing, our savings seems to be just twindling down to nothing. Everytime we turn around it seems that there's a green monster eating up our money! Geesh! We are suppose to buy this house before the end of the year! We better start acting like that money doesn't even exist!

Today was my daughter's birthday. We cooked her barbeque chicken, homemade mashed potatoes, corn-on-the-cob and rolls; and of course birthday cake. She enjoyed it. And she liked her presents. I was going to keep her babies for her- but she doesn't want to be away from Cole yet, because he's so young and Gracie wanted to go home with Momma and Daddy, since baby brother was going home. That's highly unusual, because she always wants to stay with memaw *me* But since I just had her for a week, when Star had Cole and a few days after, she wants to be with her Momma. I think if Cole stayed, she would have been fine. That's all good- I'll have them both in the morning for a few hours while she runs errands and my back was killing me this afternoon, and just became tolerable, after a few meds finally kicked in!

I had my last MRI's about 4 yrs ago. I'm schelduled to go this week for neck and full back MRI's- it will be 3 separate ones- then I have another nerve conduction test in the next week. My last one showed carpal tunnel on my LEFT wrist (weird, since I'm right handed) and slight left sided nerve damage. I definitely have gotten quite worse since those tests, so I'm not looking forward to the results. Plus my osteo or rheumatoid arthritis has gotten worse- not sure which one. I think the rhumatoid- and I'm only 43- geesh! To anyone young getting a radical hysterectomy- TAKE YOUR HORMONE PILLS! I didn't and man, am I ever paying for it. If I had it to do all over again- screw the side effects! Trust me, these side effects of not taking them are SO MUCH worse!

Okay- for a few new items added to my stores. At Tracey's Treasures *always available through clicking on the title of my blog entry* I'll show you the two newest items:

This is a gorgeous Leopardskin Jasper Necklace. The beads on this necklace are on AAA gorgeous! The three focal dangles are a flower in the middle and two nice teardrops on each side, hung with 20g Sterling Silver wire. The strap is made with Leopardskin Jasper beads, Fauceted Moss Agate and AB Czech Crystals. This is a completely gorgeous piece- one where no matter how many pics you take, you're just not going to pick up the true, rough beauty of this piece.

This bracelet and earrings set is so pretty. It's made with green Millefiori beads, which means a Thousand Flowers and AB Crystals that match the red flowers perfectly. The Aurora Bourealis Crystals shine the colors of the rainbow when it's kissed with light. A sterling Silver lobster clasp completes the piece.

The earrings hang about 2-1/2" and are hung on sterling silver wire and a sterling silver earring hook. This will make an excellent Christmas gift for someone special. It really is a pretty set :)

The next two items I am going to show you is from my other store: A Crafter's Reality, at http://acraftersreality.etsy.com/

I absolutely LOVE this necklace! The true beauty lies in the color combination of all of the gorgeous beads. The white glass beads are Butterflystroke beads, the wings are painted a deep blue, and it has a stroke of gold and silver on each brushstroke. The AB Honey Crystals match it perfectly and glitter like sun shining on water when touched by light. The electric blue Crackle beads pick up the beautiful blue of the brushstroke wings and have a depth to them that is unreal. It's like gazing into a whole galazy. The piece is completed with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

The last piece I'm going to show you today are these totally awesome earrings:

I call these, "Surviving The Storm" and if you have read my entry, entitled the same name, or you have been through your own storm- rather nature or manmade, you'll be able to relate to the flower thriving and bursting to get out of their confinements as they survived the storm that almost buried them forever. The gorgeous Black Diamond Drops represent the storm that is now past and their gorgeous Aurora Bourealis finish, shines a rainbow of colors that is often times left after a bad or devastating storm- a sign that beauty and life is still there for us to not just exist, but to live and live life in full!

So every time you wear these, there will be a special meaning that only you will know.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to see and talk to you again soon!

All of my pieces can always be altered, either longer or shorter, completely free of charge. All ofmy first time buyers receive 10% off.

If you stop by http://traceystreasures.etsy.com - I'd love for you to read the wonderful feedback left by a few of my customers- it's in the shops's announcement for your convenience.

I hope you all had a wonderful labor day weekend!

BIG SALE! EARLY LABOR DAY SALE!

I'm having a big sale! Almost 30 items in my shop is at great sale prices! You can find all of my sale items under my Sales/Clearance category. As always, to go to my store, you can just click on the title of my blog entry. :)

We'll take a stroll through some of the sale items.

I love these earrings below. They're sexy and elequent.

They're made with beautiful Smoky Qurtz teardrops- very nice quality stone. They have a beautiful color to them. Garnet and Black Diamond Swarovski Crystals compliment the Smoky Quartz and the Sterling Silver. I also like the double connections, because it gives the earrings a lot of free flowing movement. The earwires are long in back, which really adds to their beauty.

The necklace below is at an unbelievable price! And it's sooo pretty. The Black, Gold and Silver Lampwork Squares are gorgeous.

I've been keeping an eye out for some more of these lampwork beads. I'd love to buy some more. The colors are really gorgeous. I added Blackstone gemstones, gold pewter and swarovski pearls. This necklace will look so pretty with an evening dress or dressing up outfits. I've came close to taking this piece out of my store quite a few times, to keep for myself ('cause I haven't found any more beads like these any where else). I'm having those thoughts again *lol* I really may just go snag this one back. *grin*

This is a really cute bracelet and very summery.

I used light and airy yellow flowers, Millefiori beads. Millefiori means a thousand flowers- and looking at these beautiful beads up close, you will see why. They're a really nice glass bead. I combined with the Millefiori's, beautiful AB Crystals, Round Swarovski Crystals and fire-polish Czech glass beads.

Evenly spaced around the bracelet, hanging on Sterling Silver Handmade eye-pins, are these nicely detailed glass leaves- I think they go perfect with the flower Millefioris. It's a fun, kind of conservative type of charm bracelet to wear. I love the way it looks on.

This necklace and bracelet set made with Granny Apple Agate, is another set that I have almost taken out of my store a few times *laugh* Sometimes, it's really hard to sale some of these pieces ;}

I also have a Trash to Treasure book, a cute little purse scrapbook, for you to add pics of your favorite faces to!

And I have quite a few homemade cards in there as well.

Come on by and check out the Sale Section, while the best is still there to choose from *of course it's all good* *smile*

In other news, I am introducing a new card line to my store, representing my own poetry. Right now, I only have 4 cards posted. Two are scary poems in Halloween Style cards:

In the scary pumpkin card, it has a poem called "Goodnight"

A little girl sleeps beneath her sheets,

Tears flowing quickly down her cheeks...

In the ghostly figure one, the poem, "Spirits in the Dark" is on the inside:

... She holds out her arms, the cuts run deep,

As she starts to fall, I begin to weep.

The full poems can be found under the card listing on my site.

The two Encouragement/Inspirational Cards, I have listed, with my poetry are the two below:

In the card with the Bird on front, my poem, A Song of Hope, is inside:

... blanketing the menaces with feathers,

Carrying them on toward the sky...

In the second card, the woman looks out the window and the rainbow seems to have appeared only for her... a much needed sign. Inside, the poem, "Remember" reads:

I can take away all your pain

And bring it upon myself,

If only you will let me...

You can find the rest of the poetry, under the card listings, in my stores.

They are available for individual purchases at Tracey's Treasures: http://traceystreasures.etsy.com

And for mix or match purchases of sets of 5, at my other store, A Crafter's Reality: http://acraftersreality.etsy.com

I hope to see ya'll there! But most of all, definitely enjoy the weekend! YAY! It's finally the weekend :)
